چکیده
Both business networks and institutional forces are relevant to firm internationalization but they have seldom been studied together. We investigate under what circumstances firms more likely adopt non-predictive strategy in light of the influence networks, forces, home market background affecting their internationalization. Based on survey data from 758 small medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) Brazil, China, Poland, Italy, Sweden, our results support effects formal distance cultural differences use strategies by SMEs decisions, as well contingency network stability having an emerging background. integrate research liability foreignness outsidership find that is critical. متن کاملDecision Making under Extreme Uncertainty
Beliefs about an unknown distribution can be defined as a measure on the space of probability density functions. This paper (1) characterizes the set of beliefs that satisfy invariance postulates (2) establishes that updating invariant beliefs leads to a posterior distribution with tail asymptotically approaching 1 x(lnx)n . Note to seminar participant at Wharton: Part I of this paper is primar...
متن کاملDecision Making under Interval Uncertainty
To make a decision, we must find out the user’s preference, and help the user select an alternative which is the best – according to these preferences. Traditional decision theory is based on a simplifying assumption that for each two alternatives, a user can always meaningfully decide which of them is preferable. In reality, often, when the alternatives are close, the user is often unable to s...
متن کاملMultitiered Supply Chain Networks: Multicriteria Decision - Making Under Uncertainty
In this paper, we present a supply chain network model with multiple tiers of decision-makers, consisting, respectively, of manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, who can compete within a tier but may cooperate between tiers. We consider multicriteria decision-making for both the manufacturers and the distributors whereas the retailers are subject to decision-making under uncertainty since...
